Gaetano Parisio, also known as Gaetek, began Djing in 1993 and went straight into playing techno, contributing to Naples's development on the international scene. The town quickly became famous across the world for being the techno capital of Italy. In 1996 Gaetano released his first record on Design Music. In the same year he released tracks on Primate P.Rhythm and several other labels. During the second half of 1997 he founded his first label - Conform Records. Focusing his own music on it, the label matured very quickly. Up until now Marco Carola, The Advent and Adam Beyer have released on Conform.
Under the project title "C & G South System" lies his collaboration with Marco Carola which has been unleashed on Conform, Drumcode and Tortured. In late 1998 Gaetano started his second label A.R.T. with ELP in Frankfurt, through which Gaetano can express 100% of his style. With A.R.T he became known worldwide, securing his place as one of the most original producers in the techno scene.
In 1999, during the conflict in Kosovo, he decided to found Techcommunity. A benefit project designed to help the people within war-torn countries. Techcommunity saw the collaboration of Sven Väth, Laurent Garnier, The Advent, Surgeon, Marco Carola, Adam Beyer, Cari Lekebush, Ben Sims and James Ruskin: the project was an immediate success worldwide and provided a helping hand to Warchild which helped the children in Kosovo. Towards the end of 1999 he released an EP on Drumcode (19) that was considered by many journalists and DJs to be in the top 5 records that year.
December 2000 saw the launch of his new label Southsoul: a more housey techno label where his own sound still rules. Gaetano has performed on three decks in 4 continents, exporting the unique sound of Naples.
