In the beginning, there were 2. Mark Doggett, one of two original founder members of the then little known KA90, began making noise in early 1991 producing Deep Hardcore. After a slight name change and a signing to 'Kickin Records' in early 1992 'One Love' became K90's first release. This marked the beginning of the career of one of today's most liked and respected dance music producers. Origins in dance.
After the 'kickin' release, Mark started to explore new artistic boundaries and began to develop his own style of dance music. The Hardcore sound seemed to have run it's coarse, and the more uplifting sound of house music was born. 'The Clueless System' now legendary club promoters from Cambridge put on major events in the city and it wasn't long before K90 regularly pulled in large audiences with an energetic style and rapport with the crowd that continues to this day.
Worldwide appeal. Popular tunes combined with regular live performances around the globe have now helped K90 achieve worldwide acclaim. Extensive touring across the United Kingdom, a residency at 'There' (Heaven) in London, regular appearances in New Zealand, Holland, the U.S, Norway, Japan, Denmark and Poland, has proved that dance culture has no language or boundary. Serious vinyl heaven. K90, armed with a string of well known releases, including 'Genesis' on 'Choci's Chewns', 'Bomb Jack' and 'Deliverance' on 'Telica Communications' and 'Into the future' on 'Bitch Records' plus an album to add to his long list of credits also appears on compilations across the world. Mark, also a very capable remix artist, has worked on tracks such as 'Imagination' by 'Jon the Dentist' and 'Ollie Jaye' on 'Tidy Tracks' and 'Ultimate Frontiers' by 'Pablo Gargano' on Recover to name but a few.
And finally. K90, still a resident in Cambridge, continues to work from his studio at home. "I just couldn't write music anywhere else" he says "the hustle and bustle of somewhere like London or Amsterdam would be just to full on for me, artistically that is, but to be able to play and visit some of these places makes my job a very cool one to have, I take nothing for granted!" Mark continues to work on new project's striving to push musical and personal boundaries, working to keep the K90 vibe alive
